About Me

Hello, my name is Levi Barraclough and I am a designer based in the Tampa Bay Area. I am constantly trying to find ways to make life easier for myself and those around me as life is too short to be a glutton for punishment. The way to a better world is to design it.
I refined my research and reporting skills by studying and graduating in interdisciplinary humanities, with a double majoring in Spanish. Since then I have worked in a role that requires a lot of interviews and reporting on national security contracts. Research and interviews have always been key steps in my process, and have made the difference in having a quality in any of the fields in which I have worked.
I have transitioned to UX/UI design to pursue my creative interest and to have more opportunity to exercise my creative skills. Rather than wait for a solution to present itself, my background and interests have enabled me to be the one to pursue and develop solutions and products for a client's consideration. Focus on detail and high impact communication with clients have been key to successful processes across the fields I have been involved in.
My process generally consists of the following: research, defining, designing, testing, and iterating, and I stand by the results this process has provided. I have also enjoyed continuing to work with clients personally to get the product past acceptable and into something that they can take pride and ownership in.
In my free time you will find me traveling, scuba diving, and volunteering in local environmental initiatives, and most importantly- spending as much as I can with my little family. I enjoy exploring abroad as well as being a tourist in my home state. I also spend a lot of time reading when I can, delving into science fiction, fantasy, classics, history, design, and art. I am also keeping up with the latest articles and research as a member of the North American Vexillological Association, which is the study of the use and design of flags.
